Kester, my blog is hosted by my good friend Chris Harcourt - his blog is over at http://www.charcourt.com/. He mentions his hosting arrangements and server tweaks on his site, but AFAIK it's a virtual server hosted by Bytemark.

As for performance, the biggest boost is given by using the WP-Cache Plug-in which will create static .html cache files and serve those over dynamically generating the content each time.

Bringing this one back from last year...I tried to find out about where this site is hosting by following a few links from this post, but couldn't find details.

It's quite possibly the fastest site I've come accross, and wouldn't mind what the hosting arrangements are! (Unless you've somehow got Wordpress turbo charged..)
