Lame MP3 Encoder for Mac OS X 10.4 (Intel)

10th August, 2007 – 12:00 am

Just a quick post on this one to save someone five minutes in the future: I was after a pre-compiled binary for Lame 3.97 for Intel OS X and could not find one in the usual places. After a bit of head scratching (hey, I’m new to Mac), I found one hidden inside the Package Contents of iTunes-Lame. Once you have downloaded this app, right click on it and Show Package Contents, the binary is inside the Resources folder.

  2. You might want to mention it’s a CLI programme ;). I’ve been looking for a good Lame encoding MacIntel programme with a GUI, but the best I can find is Audacity :/…
